Yellowtail Catfish Curry 🍲

Yellowtail Catfish" is called "Pangas Fish" in Bengali language and it's scientific name is "Pangasius Pangasius".It's very popular fish available all over in Bangladesh. Today am going to show you a dry curry with this fish. Let's cook 😊🍴



Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup chopped onions
  2. 2 Pisces of fish
  3. 2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  4. Salt as required
  5. 3 green chillies
  6. 1 big size red tomato
  7. 1 teaspoon termeric powder
  8. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  9. 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoon coriendar powder
  11. 1/2 cup water
  12. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  13. Oil as required


Steps

  1. Wash the fish and put it in a bowl. Put salt as required and lemon juice into it. Put one pinch of termeric powder and give it a perfect mix. Keep it half an hour for marination.

  2. Now, take a pan, put some oil and medium fry the pieces of fishes. After frying, keep it aside.

  3. In the another pan, put some oil and heat it on stove. Put chopped onions with salt as required and fry 1 minutes. Put ginger garlic paste and fry more 1 minutes. Now, take termeric powder, red chilli powder, coriendar powder and cumin powder in a pot and put half cup water and make a perfect mix of spice. Put the spice mixchure into the pan and sauteed it for 5 minutes covering the pan.

  4. Now, put all the fried fish Pisces into it and stir fry it more 5-7 minutes covering the pan. Now, spread some chopped tomato Pisces and green chillies on the top of the curry and saute it more 2 minutes covering the pan.

  5. Yellowtail Catfish Curry is ready. Serve it hot with steamed rice, roti or paratha and enjoy the authentic Bengali cuisine.
