Bengali iLish khichri/ Hilsha Fish Fry with Liquid khichri
Here it's more easy to cook because I have used "pressure cooker" for cooking it. Let's cook .
Ingredients
- For fish fry
- 1 pieces Hilsha fish
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon mustard oil
- 1/4 teaspoon termeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
- For khichri
- 1 cup rice
- 2.5 cup water
- 1/4 cup Lentil soaked in water
- 1 tablespoon chopped onions
- 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
- 2 green chillies
- 1/2 teaspoon termeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1.5 tablespoon oil
- to taste Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon ghee for Garnishing
Steps
For fish fry:
Wash and Clean the piece of hilsha fish and take it into a bowl. Put termeric powder and red chilli powder with salt as required and give it a perfect mix.
Now take a pan, put mustard oil and fry the fish. After fry, stop the flame.
For khichri: wash the rice with water and keep it aside. Wash the lentil and keep it into water for 1 hour soaking. Then keep it aside.
Take a pressure cooker and put all the following khichri ingredients with soaked Lentil and washed rice into it.
Now start the flame and cook it untill third sittis. Then stop the flame. ILish khichri is ready. Spread the ghee on the top of the khichri and Serve it hot with the piece of Hilsha fish fry. Enjoy 😊.
